About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Kingston upon Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them thrive in a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one–to–one basis and in small groups. Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities. Adapt learning resources to meet the individual needs of pupils. Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support pupil progress. The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential. Experience working with children in a school setting. A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new DBS. We Offer
