The Role

You will be supporting pupils with Autism, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties within a nurturing SEN environment. This role involves adapting to individual learning needs, delivering both 1:1 and small group interventions, and promoting a safe, positive, and encouraging learning atmosphere. You will help implement Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) targets and build positive relationships with pupils to foster their academic and personal development. xjnqpsq

Responsibilities

Support pupils within the classroom as an SEN Teaching Assistant

Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions

Work alongside teachers to implement EHCP targets

Encourage communication, confidence, and independence in students

Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Skills and Experience

Minimum 6 months' experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant

Background supporting pupils with Autism and additional learning needs

Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (paper copy required) or willingness to obtain one

Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months

Confident adapting to individual learning needs and building positive relationships

Location and Package

The school is located in Aston and offers a daily rate between £95.00 and £109.25. The role is a long-term contract starting on 07 September 2026, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference and join a supportive SEN team.
