Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Darlington

Pay: £475–£557 per week (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are looking to appoint Teaching Assistant (TA) for amazing schools in Darlington. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can work closely with teachers, provide effective classroom support, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The TA is going to offer the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while gaining valuable experience within supportive school settings.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils where required

Encourage positive behaviour and active participation throughout the school day

Assist with preparing classroom resources and learning materials

Monitor pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff

Good communication and teamwork skills

Flexible, reliable, and willing to adapt to different classroom environments

Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
