A friendly and supportive school in Chesterfield is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an ongoing opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. The successful Teaching Assistant will be confident working with individuals and small groups of pupils, including those who may need additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons as a Teaching Assistant

* Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis as a Teaching Assistant

* Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation

* Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing

* Helping pupils to stay engaged and on task during lessons

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a school setting (preferred)

* Be patient, proactive, and enthusiastic in their role as a Teaching xjnqpsq Assistant

* Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

* Be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the school

* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo one
