Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large mixed secondary school in Bury. The senior leadership team of this school are looking to appoint a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to join their team of support staff from April 2026.

Competitive pay with no umbrella or agency fee

Paid weekly, every Friday via PAYE

Full-time role, Monday – Friday

Registration required through Teaching Personnel prior to start

Full CPD training provided

This is a fantastic opportunity to build on experience within a secondary school setting. No prior school-based experience is necessary, although experience supporting children would be beneficial to your application.

Within this role you will work deliver one-to-one interventions to students requiring additional support within the classroom, as well as assisting small groups of students with their knowledge of the curriculum and completion of set work. You will also work closely with the class teacher to prepare and plan lessons in line with the national curriculum and schemes of work.

Our client school require a teaching assistant who is flexible with working across KS3 and KS4, across a variety of subjects and pupil ability.

This secondary school is located in Bury, making it easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Salford, Rochdale and Bolton via bus, tram or car (on-site parking).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
