Salary: £90 – £95 per day (Competitive rates based on PAYE and Umbrella options)

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible)

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistant to join the team in Upminster. In this role, you will provide essential classroom support, working alongside teachers to facilitate a positive and productive learning environment. You will assist in the delivery of lessons, help manage classroom dynamics, and provide targeted support to students to help raise attainment across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Class Teacher in the preparation of resources and management of the classroom.

* Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning concepts and improve core skills.

* Promote an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students stay engaged and motivated.

* Encourage positive behaviour and social development in line with school policies.

* Assist with the supervision of students during transitions, break times, or school outings.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Have previous experience working with children or young people (ideally in a school or educational setting).

* Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with secondary-aged students.

* Be adaptable, resilient, and ready to take initiative within the classroom.

* Hold a solid understanding of safeguarding and the importance of child welfare.

* Be a reliable team player with a positive, professional attitude.
