Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Fixed term until 25th March 2027 in the first instance.

Hours of Work:

29 hours per week:

• Monday–Thursday: 8.45am – 3.30pm

• Friday: 8.30am – 3.30pm

(1 hour lunch break daily)

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Pastoral team, collaborating closely with Teachers, the SENCO and other Support Staff to support pupils with additional behavioural, social and emotional needs. You will help create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment and provide targeted support to help pupils manage their behaviour and develop positive learning attitudes.

This role involves working with pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and occasionally EYFS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with behavioural, social and emotional needs.

• Support pupils in managing their behaviour and developing emotional regulation.

• Work collaboratively with the Pastoral team, Teachers and SENCO.

• Promote positive learning attitudes and inclusion.

• Contribute to a safe, caring and supportive school environment. xjnqpsq
