Teaching Assistant – Sandwell & Dudley

£110–£135 per day

We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Sandwell and Dudley, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom learning and helping pupils to reach their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers and school staff to provide academic, emotional, and behavioural support to individuals and small groups. These roles are general support positions and are not subject-specific.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities

* Work one-to-one or in small groups to support pupils’ learning and development

* Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources

* Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment

* Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs

* Supervise pupils during activities, transitions, and break times when required

* Follow school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety

Essential Qualifications & Experience

* Previous experience working in a primary school setting (KS1 and/or KS2)

* Strong behaviour management and pupil engagement skills

* Organised, proactive, and reliable

* Able to work effectively as part of a team

* Confident supporting pupils of different ages and abilities

Desirable Skills & Attributes

* Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable, not essential)

* A positive, patient, and nurturing approach

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and routines

* Commitment to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development
