Experienced Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Lewisham, South East London)

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school located in the London Borough of Lewisham, South East London.

This is a full-time role starting after February half term, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. The position will run until July (end of the academic year), with the potential to continue from September 2026 for the right candidate.

Job Details:

Role: Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Location: Lewisham, South East London

Start Date: After February half term

Hours: Full time, 5 days per week (8:30am-3:30pm)

Pay: From £90 per day (PAYE)

Contract Length: Until July, with possible continuation in September 2026

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils in a mainstream primary classroom

Working alongside the class teacher to support learning and behaviour

Providing one-to-one and small group support

Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Person Specification:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school

Confident supporting children with a range of abilities and needs

Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive

Able to work effectively as part of a school team
