Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 1 (Level 3 Qualified) Location: Bacup, LancashireStart Date: ASAPContract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Bacup who are seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1, including Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support learning, promote wellbeing, and help create a safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

About the Role: Support pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, both in class and through small group interventionsAssist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy developmentPromote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeingWork collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning to meet individual needsUphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to a nurturing school culture The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)Have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within KS1Be confident supporting children with a range of needs, including SENDDemonstrate a caring, patient and proactive approachWork in line with the DfE Teaching Assistant Professional Standards, including: Promoting the school's ethos and valuesSupporting pupil learning and developmentCollaborating effectively with colleagues and professionalsMaintaining a safe and inclusive learning environmentEngaging in reflective practice and professional growth If you're passionate about helping young learners thrive and meet the criteria above, we'd love to hear from you.
