Teaching Assistant

Description

We are looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our SEN team in Bury. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs and help them thrive in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with class teachers as a Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted learning support

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions as a Teaching Assistant

Support children with SEN in both academic and personal development as a Teaching Assistant

Assist with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and learning resources as a Teaching Assistant

Act as a reliable and approachable Teaching Assistant for pupils and staff

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in SEN or primary school settings

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach as a Teaching Assistant

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare practices

Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant – desirable but not essential
