Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Wigan

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available

Pay Rate: £85 to £100 per day dependent on experience

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in secondary schools in the Wigan area from September 2025. This is a great opportunity for those passionate about helping young people thrive in their education.

Role Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons

Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who need extra help

Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive learning attitudes

Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, youth work, etc.)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

An enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one
