Unqualified Maths Teacher - Kettering

Location: Kettering

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Potential for Permanent Placement

Salary: £100-£160 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

Secondary schools in Kettering are offering exciting opportunities for graduates to take on Unqualified Maths Teacher roles from September 2025. These long-term positions are ideal for aspiring educators looking to develop their skills, gain valuable school experience, and explore a career in teaching.

If you've studied Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a similar subject, and are considering teaching, this could be the perfect next step.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils

Supporting the planning and delivery of curriculum content alongside experienced teachers

Helping students build confidence and competence in core Maths topics

Managing classroom behaviour to maintain a productive and respectful environment

Tailoring your approach to suit learners of different levels and abilities

Tracking student progress and contributing to feedback and assessment

What We're Looking For:

A degree in a Maths-related subject (e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering, Finance)

A strong interest in education and working with young people

Confidence in delivering content and explaining complex ideas simply

A proactive, resilient, and reflective mindset

An openness to future teacher training routes (PGCE, SCITT, QTS Apprenticeships)

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
