Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About Us:

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, inclusive primary school based in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will be committed to nurturing every child’s potential and creating a positive, stimulating learning environment. A passion for fostering creativity, curiosity, and confidence is essential, along with the ability to support children requiring additional help with their learning.

The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This full-time role will play a vital part in supporting teaching staff and helping children develop key skills in their early years of education.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting class teachers in delivering engaging and effective Foundation Phase lessons

Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning activities

Working one-on-one or in small groups to support children’s learning and development

Supporting children with additional learning needs and promoting their inclusion

Supervising children during play, lunch, and outdoor activities

Assisting with record-keeping and tracking children’s progress

Promoting a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment

About You:

Experience working with children in a Foundation Phase or early years setting is highly desirable

A passion for supporting young children’s learning and development

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Patient, caring, and reliable with a proactive attitude

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications in childcare, education, or relevant experience are a strong advantage

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
