Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Hackney

Long Term Futures are working with a high–performing and culturally rich secondary school in Hackney to recruit a Teaching Assistant for September 2025.

This role is perfect for someone with strong subject knowledge, who enjoys working across a variety of lessons and year groups. The school places a big focus on academic catch–up, learning support, and student engagement across KS3 and KS4.

You'll be joining a forward–thinking team who work hard to ensure every student has the support they need to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and in–class support across core and foundation subjects

Adapt learning materials for students with a range of abilities

Support learners with SEN, EAL or who are at risk of underachieving

Promote independence, self–confidence and classroom participation

Contribute to planning and feedback discussions with teaching staff

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Secondary school or tutoring experience across KS3 and KS4

A proactive, flexible and confident approach

Good subject knowledge, especially in English, Maths or Science

Excellent communication and rapport–building skills

An interest in pursuing a career in education

Location and Transport – Hackney, East London
