Description

Are you a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills? Do you have extensive experience supporting children or young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a primary school in Old Trafford (M16) to recruit a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with challenging behaviour and additional SEMH needs. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2025.

Role Details:

Position: 1:1 Behaviour Support TA (KS1 pupil)

Location: Primary school in Old Trafford, M16

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: 08:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday

Agency: Employed full time through a teaching agency

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEMH

Confident in managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies

Patient, consistent, and calm in approach

Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

Committed to making a positive impact on a child’s education and wellbeing
