The schools cater for students with diverse needs, including autism spectrum conditions (ASC), moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team working within SEN schools across South Birmingham. xjnqpsq This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, tailored to their individual learning needs
*
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
*
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
*
Foster a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment
*
Support pupils with personal care where required
*
Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
Requirements:
*
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
*
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
*
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable
