SEN Teaching Assistant – Eastbourne
Location: Eastbourne
Contract: Full-time, On-going
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Eastbourne.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help students with a range of additional needs—including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges—reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support.
*
Assisting with classroom activities and adapting materials to meet individual learning needs.
*
Supporting students with personal care (where required).
*
Encouraging independence and promoting a positive learning environment.
*
Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
About You:
*
Previous experience supporting children with SEN (in school or care settings) is desirable.
*
A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*
A genuine passion for helping children thrive.
*
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
