Teaching Assistant – SEN / SEMH Support (1:1, Year 1) / 95+ per day / 1 term minimum

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire

Hours: Full–time

Salary: 95– 115 per day

We are looking to appoint a committed, calm and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well–run 2–form entry primary school in Watford, Hertfordshire. The school benefits from excellent leadership, a strong culture of support for staff, and a positive, inclusive ethos. It is also well connected, located within walking distance of Watford Junction, making it easily accessible by public transport.

This full–time role involves working 1:1 with a child in Year 1, providing consistent learning support to help them access the curriculum and succeed in school life.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or SEMH needs. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential – relevant experience, the right mindset, and a genuine passion for supporting children are what matter most.
