Are you ready for a role where every small step makes a big difference? This Kingston-based specialist setting supports children and young people with vision and sensory impairments, creating personalised learning journeys that combine education, therapy and independence skills.

Here, education doesn’t stop at the classroom door. From therapeutic programmes to residential support, students are encouraged to build confidence, life skills and friendships in a nurturing environment that celebrates individuality.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting learners with vision and sensory needs across the school day

Working alongside teachers, therapists and rehabilitation specialists in a truly multi-disciplinary team

Encouraging independence and communication through personalised, creative and practical activities

Option to take on additional hours within residential, helping students develop life skills in a homely setting

Experience (or a keen interest) in supporting students with special educational needs

Patience, empathy and adaptability—you’ll often be the calm in the storm

A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment with therapists and teaching staff

A proactive, positive approach to helping young people achieve their potential

Key Info:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30–16:00 (with optional residential shifts for additional hours)

Location: Kingston Upon Thames area

Start date: Immediate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
