Description

Looking for a role where your creativity and compassion can make a real difference? This specialist centre in Kingston Upon Thames is dedicated to empowering young people with additional needs, helping them build independence, confidence, and life skills.

Set in a welcoming residential community, the centre offers learners opportunities both on-site and in the wider community—through local work placements, theatre partnerships, outdoor learning and creative projects. No two days are ever the same.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting students aged 16+ with special educational needs in small-group and community-based learning

Encouraging independence and confidence through creative, practical and sensory approaches

Taking part in community partnerships with local businesses, charities, and arts organisations

Working closely with specialist staff and therapists to give every student the best chance to thrive

What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting learners with additional needs (ASD, SLD or similar)

Patience, adaptability and a positive mindset

A proactive and creative approach to learning—whether that’s through arts, sports, or hands-on activities

Team players who can bring warmth and reliability to the role

Why join this centre?

You’ll be part of an inclusive, close-knit community where every student is known, supported and celebrated

Real opportunities to see the impact of your work as students gain life skills and take on community projects

A setting recognised for its outstanding, student-centred ethos and supportive staff culture
