Protocol Education is recruiting enthusiastic Sports Graduates to support students in a forward-thinking secondary school in Ashington, Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity to use your coaching, leadership and communication skills to positively influence young people both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

As a Sports Graduate, you may work as a:

Behaviour Support Assistant

Learning Mentor

Teaching Assistant

SEMH Support Assistant

Inclusion Support Assistant

Sports Coach

Student Wellbeing Mentor

You'll gain invaluable experience by:

Supporting students on a one-to-one and small-group basis.

Using sports-based strategies to engage and motivate learners.

Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.

Working with students with SEMH needs, Autism (ASC), ADHD and additional learning needs.

Promoting teamwork, resilience and confidence.

Delivering mentoring and intervention sessions.

Supporting learning across the wider curriculum.

Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams and SEND professionals.

We're Looking For

A degree in Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Physical Education or a related subject.

A genuine passion for supporting young people.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Confidence working with groups and individuals.

A patient, resilient and positive attitude.

The ability to build strong professional relationships.

Previous coaching, mentoring or youth work experience is desirable but not essential.

Whether you've coached grassroots sports, worked at holiday clubs, mentored young people or volunteered in the community, we'd love to hear from you.
