Full Time & Part Time Opportunities Available | 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and resilient Sports Coaches to work within SEN provisions across Northumberland. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs through sport, physical activity and positive engagement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting confidence, teamwork, wellbeing and positive behaviour while supporting learners with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH, ASD and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions

Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom

Build positive and trusting relationships with learners

Encourage participation, teamwork and emotional wellbeing

Promote positive behaviour and help manage challenging situations calmly and effectively

Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to meet individual pupil needsRequirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable

Experience within SEN, SEMH or alternative provision settings is advantageous

A background in sports coaching, mentoring or youth work is preferred

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A patient, resilient and positive attitude

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirableSafeguarding Requirements:

An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service is preferred
