Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to reach their full potential?

Do you want to make a real difference in a nurturing and inclusive SEN school environment?

About the School

We are a friendly, inclusive Bracknell school committed to providing high-quality education for children with special educational needs (SEN). Our pupils have a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and learning disabilities.

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you’ll join a dedicated team of teachers and support staff to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Your Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum.

Assist with speech, language, communication, and social skills development.

Help children build confidence, independence, and resilience.

Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning materials and lessons.

Promote wellbeing, inclusion, and safeguarding at all times.

Support classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.

Person Specification

Empathetic, patient, and passionate about working with children with SEN.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to remain calm, consistent, and professional in challenging situations.

Motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children’s learning.

No previous experience required, full training and support provided.

What We Offer

A supportive and inclusive school environment.

Training and CPD opportunities in SEN, Autism, SEMH, and teaching strategies.

The chance to gain hands-on experience in special educational needs support.

Opportunities to progress into teaching, therapy, or SEN leadership roles.

A rewarding role helping children achieve their full potential. xjnqpsq
