SEN Teacher

Specialist School, Altrincham

£160-£230 per day (dependent on experience) | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, helping pupils with a range of additional and complex needs achieve both academically and personally.

The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. As such, this role would suit a resilient and adaptable teacher who is passionate about making a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

Support pupils with complex learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs

Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment

Develop and implement strategies to improve engagement and attainment

Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external agencies

Contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting

Promote pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching children with SEN, SEMH, ASD or complex needs is desirable

Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills

Patient, resilient and adaptable approach

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
