SEN Teacher

Specialist School, Altrincham

160– 230 per day (dependent on experience) Full–Time Immediate Start Available

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Altrincham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, helping pupils with a range of additional and complex needs achieve both academically and personally.

The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. As such, this role would suit a resilient and adaptable teacher who is passionate about making a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needsSupport pupils with complex learning, social, emotional and behavioural needsCreate a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environmentDevelop and implement strategies to improve engagement and attainmentMonitor, assess and report on pupil progressWork collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external agenciesContribute to EHCP reviews and target settingPromote pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualificationExperience teaching children with SEN, SEMH, ASD or complex needs is desirableStrong behaviour management and classroom management skillsPatient, resilient and adaptable approachExcellent communication and relationship–building skills
