We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Social Sciences, ideally with a specialism in Psychology, to join our college community for the 2025/26 academic year. This opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who share our ambition to raise aspirations, support achievement, and enrich students educational journeys.

About the Role As a Teacher of Social Sciences, you will:

Teach engaging, inclusive lessons in Psychology and other social sciences subjects.

Motivate, inspire, and challenge students of all abilities in post–16 education.

Create a safe, supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore complex ideas.

Plan, deliver, and assess innovative lessons that promote curiosity and holistic learning.

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental enrichment initiatives.

You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team, committed to sharing resources, reflecting on practice, and encouraging professional growth through a strong CPD programme.

About You We are looking for an inspirational teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE, with a relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.

Has excellent subject knowledge and a strong grasp of the social sciences curriculum.

Can demonstrate a track record of achieving good or outstanding student outcomes.

Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and innovation to curriculum planning and delivery.

Is committed to supporting students academic progress and personal development.

Is motivated by a genuine passion for working with young people.
