We're working with a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Chesterfield that provides exceptional education for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical and physical needs.

They're seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide the support that helps pupils achieve their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs

Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility support

Using specialist communication methods and equipment (full training provided)

Supporting sensory learning activities and personalised learning programmes

Encouraging independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

Creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive

Celebrating achievements and milestones, no matter how small they may seem

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs

Resilience, positivity, and a willingness to learn new skills

Experience in SEND, care, healthcare, support work, education, or relevant lived experience

Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
