Description

Ready for your next opportunity in education?

TimePlan Education is expanding its network of SEND Teaching Assistants across London, with opportunities for people who want to build their experience in specialist and mainstream school settings.

We are looking for motivated, dependable individuals who can provide practical classroom support and help pupils with additional needs get the most out of their school day. If you have experience in education, childcare, support work or a similar role, this could be the next step for you.

What Does the Role Involve?

No two days are the same. You could be helping a pupil follow classroom activities, supporting communication, encouraging positive interactions or working alongside the teacher to adapt learning to individual needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

Assisting children with autism, ADHD, communication needs and social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.

Helping pupils participate in lessons and classroom activities.

Using visual resources and communication aids to make learning more accessible.

Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.

Supporting pupils with transitions, routines and day-to-day classroom activities.

Working with teachers and other professionals to meet individual learning goals.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from candidates who are enthusiastic about working with children and are keen to develop their skills in SEND education.

You should be:

Patient, approachable and confident adapting to different situations.

Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively within a team.

Interested in supporting children with a range of additional needs.

Willing to learn new approaches and follow individual support strategies.

Previous SEND or school-based experience is desirable, but candidates with transferable experience are also encouraged to apply. A relevant NVQ, BTEC or equivalent qualification would be an advantage.

What You'll Need

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

The right to work in the UK.

Two professional references covering at least the last two years.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Successful completion of the TimePlan Education application and interview process.
