£100 per day

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement

Working hours: Monday – Friday, term time only

Unique School Solutions are supporting a small, community primary school in the S36 area of Sheffield, who are needing a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in their specialist SEND resource. The role will be working within the resource unit, supporting a small group of students with Special Educational Needs - predominantly Autism and non-verbal, under the direction of the teacher. The role is to start ASAP and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.

Essential requirements for the role:

* Previous experience working within a school or similar setting

* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs

* EYFS curriculum knowledge

* The ability to build rapport with young learners

* The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative

* Experience with Phonics is advantageous
