Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs to reach their full potential?

We’re recruiting for a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Bromsgrove, rated Good by Ofsted. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant who wants to make a genuine difference in the lives of students aged 11–19.

You’ll work closely with teachers to create a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment — helping students build confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning.

About the School

Our client provides education and tailored support for Looked After Children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including autism and social communication difficulties. The school offers a broad, ambitious curriculum designed to help every learner succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Support and mentor students with their learning in class, at home, and during outdoor activities

*

Assist teachers in preparing materials and managing classroom behaviour

*

Write daily reports on student progress and well-being

*

Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers to ensure consistent support

Requirements

*

Passionate about supporting students with SEND

*

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND or SEMH xjnqpsq setting

*

Strong English and Maths skills
