Description

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Key Stage Two who is being reintroduced to the classroom environment. This is a wonderful opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is caring, patient and committed to making a difference in a child’s life.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day. You will play a key role in helping the child settle back into school life, supporting both their academic learning and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Provide one-to-one support to a child throughout the school day

*

Assist in implementing individual learning and behaviour plans

*

Support the child’s emotional wellbeing and social development

*

Encourage independence and engagement in classroom activities

*

Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and other Teaching Assistants

*

Contribute to creating a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:

Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting

*

A calm, patient and nurturing approach

*

The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children

*

An understanding of supporting children with additional needs

*

Good communication and teamwork skills

*

A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
