SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Islington)
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract: Full Academic Year (September 2025 - July 2026)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm
SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be working with a welcoming, inclusive primary school in Islington, seeking a skilled and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team for the upcoming academic year.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and mixed learning abilities. The school is looking for someone with strong behaviour management skills, a calm, nurturing approach, and a passion for helping every child succeed.
Your Role:
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support to children with SEND across different year groups
Work alongside teachers to provide engaging, tailored learning opportunities
Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive environment
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Encourage independence, resilience, and a love of learning
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with SEND (essential)
A confident, adaptable approach to meet varied needs
Strong behaviour management skills
A genuine commitment to improving children's educational outcomes
