SEND Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Romford)
Start Date: 3rd September 2025 | £100+ per day | Full Academic Year | Potential for Permanent Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Romford, supporting a young boy in Year 3 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
About the Role:
You will work on a 1:1 basis, providing consistent support throughout the school day. Your role will include:
Supporting social interaction and communication skills
Helping to manage sensory sensitivities
Supporting the child through transitions and changes in routine
Assisting with personal and intimate care when required (including changing and toileting)
This is a full-time position starting on Tuesday 3rd September 2025, running for the full academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is:
Patient, empathetic, and consistent
Experienced working with children with ASD (preferred, not essential)
Confident in managing behaviours related to anxiety and routine disruption
Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
Committed to helping children achieve both academically and emotionally

Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Pay: From £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start: 3rd September 2025
