Special Educational Needs Support Staff - Permanent Role

Location: Royston (Cambridge & Hertfordshire Border)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Simply Education is working in partnership with a specialist independent day school based in Royston, on the Cambridge and Hertfordshire border. The school supports children and young people aged 6-19 with a range of Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Specific Learning Disabilities (SpLD), including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), ADHD, and associated needs. Pupils require a highly individualised and specialist approach to learning and development.

The school is a National Autistic Society (NAS) accredited Autism Specialist School, providing a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment.

The Role:

Supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and severe learning needs

Providing tailored support in line with individual education and care plans

Assisting with learning, personal development, emotional regulation, and wellbeing

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and care staff

Supporting pupils with care-based needs where requiredThe Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is highly desirable

Experience within care, SEN, education, or support work is very welcome

Understanding of autism and complex learning needs

Patient, resilient, and compassionate approach

A full, valid UK driving licence is essential due to the school's locationWhat the School Offers:
