Job Description:
We are looking for a caring and committed SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within Key Stage 1 (KS1) at a welcoming primary school in Sefton. This role is ideal for an experienced SEND TA who is passionate about providing tailored support and helping children thrive in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
Assist with learning, behaviour, and social development.
Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
Encourage independence and engagement in classroom activities.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant (KS1 or primary setting experience desirable).
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Two professional references covering the last 2 years.
