Job Title: SEND Specialist Teacher

Salary: £150 - £200 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bradford that is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive and supportive learning environment for pupils with a range of complex additional needs. The school places a strong emphasis on helping every child reach their full potential through personalised learning, therapeutic support and a caring, child-centred approach.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Specialist Teacher on both long-term and short-term contracts starting in September. The successful SEND Specialist Teacher will be teaching pupils across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), delivering tailored learning while supporting personal care needs and using manual handling techniques where required.

The successful SEND Specialist Teacher will have:

QTS

Experience teaching children and young people with PMLD

Experience supporting pupils with personal care

Manual handling experience

Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills

A caring, patient and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with complex needs
