SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: campuses across Enfield and Edmonton (you will only be based at one site)

Start Date: ASAP

Daily Rate: £105 per day

Contract Type: Long-term, temp to perm, full-time

An outstanding and highly respected SEN Trust with multiple campuses across Enfield and Edmonton is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Key stage preference can be accomodated (operating from EYFS to Further Education).

About the Role:

You will be joining a dedicated team within a specialist provision, helping to create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment for students with complex needs. The trust is well-regarded for its inclusive approach, exceptional leadership, and commitment to staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with autism and SEMH needs

* Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff

* Support emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies

* Help maintain a structured, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment

* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support each student's individual education plan (IEP)

* Contribute to daily routines, enrichment activities, and school events

* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

* Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASC and/or SEMH

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Calm, resilient, and patient nature

* Ability to work effectively within a team and follow direction

* Willingness to learn and engage with training opportunities

* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
