Description

SEN Tutor (Face-to-Face Tuition)

We are currently expanding our network of experienced SEN Tutors to support students with additional needs through personalised one-to-one tuition. We are looking for compassionate, adaptable, and reliable tutors for upcoming face-to-face opportunities across Barking, Dagenham and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition sessions in core subjects

• Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and learning difficulties

• Work in line with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

• Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs

• Build positive relationships with students and families

• Provide feedback and progress updates where required

• Deliver face-to-face sessions within students’ homes or community settings

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ teaching or tutoring experience in the UK

• Experience supporting students with SEN and EHCPs

• Strong knowledge of core subjects including English, Maths and Science

• Comfortable working independently in face-to-face settings

• DBS registered on the Update Service

• Flexible daytime availability preferred

• Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours weekly

Desirable Qualifications

• PGCE and/or QTS

• SEN qualifications or specialist training

• Experience xjnqpsq working outside mainstream education settings

Additional Information

• £25–£35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

• Flexible part-time hours

• Opportunities for future placements across multiple boroughs

• Sessions primarily delivered during school hours
