Strong ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and families

Good knowledge of the KS1–KS4 curriculum (depending on the placement)

Ability to tailor and adapt learning in a creative and personalised way

A degree and/or relevant experience working with children with additional needs

Solid English and Maths skills

Understanding of a range of learning difficulties and behavioural needs

A flexible and adaptable approach to different environments and learner abilities

A practical, student-centred mindset and a caring attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
