SEN Teaching Assistant | Newhamm, East London
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Prospero Teaching is recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools in Newham, East London. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, psychology students, support workers, youth workers, or individuals with experience working with children and young people with additional needs.
The Role
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist students with autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties
Support classroom learning and help pupils engage with lessons
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to support student progressWe're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN
Patient, resilient, and empathetic individuals
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
School, care, support work, mentoring, tutoring, or youth work experience is beneficialWorking Hours
Full-time, Monday to xjnqpsq Friday
Typical hours: 8:30am to 4:00pmRequirements
Right to Work in the UK
Two years of professional references
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
