Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs? We're recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and supportive specialist schools across Gloucestershire.

These schools provide education for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ADHD, Dyslexia and moderate learning difficulties. They are committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every student is encouraged to build confidence, develop independence and reach their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide both classroom and 1:1 support. You'll play a key role in helping pupils engage with learning, regulate their emotions, develop social skills and overcome barriers to education. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs.

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.

Supporting students with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning needs.

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Building trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.

Encouraging independence, confidence and personal development.

Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults (preferred but not essential).

Is patient, empathetic and resilient.

Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.

Is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
