Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Surrey, Epsom

Pay Range: £90 – £114.55 per day

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

ANZUK Education are working with a friendly and inclusive primary schools in Epsom whom are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams. This role offers the opportunity to provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, ensuring they are fully supported both academically and emotionally.

The schools are known for their inclusive ethos and strong focus on pupil wellbeing, creating a nurturing environment where staff are supported to make a real difference.

The SEN Teaching Assistant roles in Epsom would suit experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants with a strong background in SEND support.

Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted learning activities.

Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement.

Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development.

Follow and implement EHCP targets and intervention strategies.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) or a degree. (preferred not essential)

Have proven experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting (essential).

Demonstrate strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice.

Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement.

Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff and families.
