SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Southampton

Hours: Full-time

Start: September

Pay: £85 – £100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs?

Do you have the patience, empathy and enthusiasm to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally?

We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming school in the Southampton area. This rewarding role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.

About the Setting:

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

• Assisting with learning activities and classroom engagement

• Promoting emotional wellbeing and confidence

• Supporting behaviour management strategies

• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Helping create a safe and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN

• Patient, calm and resilient approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Passion for supporting children’s development

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
