SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Immediate Start Available | Specialist Complex Needs School

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist complex needs school supporting pupils aged 4–16 with a range of additional learning needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

This is a rewarding full-time opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to supporting children to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

A driving licence is ESSENTIAL for the role.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with complex learning needs, autism, communication difficulties, and additional behavioural or sensory needs

Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and care

Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement

Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff

Provide both classroom and 1:1 support where required

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A valid UK driving licence

An Enhanced Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service

Transferable experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals

A positive, resilient, and caring attitude

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Experience in education, care, support work, youth work, coaching, residential care, or similar backgrounds is highly desirable.
