SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - SOUTHPORT – ONGOING – £(phone number removed)P/H

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting in Southport.

Position details:

* Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN)

* Location: Southport (applicants must live locally)

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30

* Availability: 5 days per week

* Start: As soon as possible

Key requirements:

* Proven experience working with children with SEN

* Able to commit to full-time hours during the school week

* Living locally to Southport with no travel restrictions

* Patient, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil progress

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

Key duties and responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN throughout the school day

* Support learning activities as directed by the class teacher and SENCO

* Assist with emotional, social, and behavioural development

* Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

* Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

* Monitor and record progress, feeding back to teaching staff

* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the pupil at all times

* Support with personal care where required (if applicable)
