Job Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: CumbriaStart Date: ASAPContract Type: Full-TimeContract Length: Long-TermSalary: GBP100 - GBP120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

Are you a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Cumbria.

You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop life skills. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children who require additional support.

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties).Implement EHCP strategies and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.Support the emotional, social, and academic development of pupils.Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children with SEN (in a school, care, or youth setting)A patient and positive approach to learning supportExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsLevel 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
