SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Liverpool

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £95 - £110 per-day

Are you an experienced HLTA with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs? We're looking for calm, committed, and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in Liverpool.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and SEMH. You'll support personalised learning, deliver small-group interventions, implement behaviour strategies, and lead classroom sessions when needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils with SEND in a specialist setting

Leading learning activities and stepping in for planned class cover

Delivering tailored interventions and implementing behaviour plans

Contributing to EHCP targets and progress reviews

Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families

What we're looking for:

HLTA status or substantial classroom support experience

Experience supporting pupils with SEND across EYFS, KS1, KS2, or KS3

Confident leading learning independently or in small groups

Calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour support

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
