SEN Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start

Location: Camberwell, Lambeth

Daily Rate: £95 - £118

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only

Start Date: Immediate

This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a range of needs and help them thrive both academically and emotionally.

About the Role:

You'll be working closely with students who may have:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

ADHD

Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Physical Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students.

Assist with classroom activities and learning plans.

Support students with personal care and mobility (where required).

Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.

Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff.

Monitor and record student progress and wellbeing.

Requirements:

Experience working in SEN settings or with children with additional needs is highly desirable.

A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.

Strong communication skills and a caring, adaptable approach.

Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.

A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
