Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants - Primary & Secondary

Location: Broomhill area (working across Primary, Secondary & SEND provisions)

Salary: Competitive (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Do you have experience working with students with Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and challenging behaviour?

We are currently seeking experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated team supporting students across primary, secondary, and specialist SEND settings in the Broomhill area.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students aged 5-19 with a range of SEN, including ASD, SEMH, and behavioural needs.

Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom.

Promote emotional regulation, learning engagement, and positive behaviour.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to meet individual student needs.

Who We're Looking For:

We welcome applications from individuals who have:

Previous experience in SEN settings such as special schools, PRUs, or residential care.

A background in youth work, support work, or mental health services.

A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA or a degree in Psychology or a related field).

A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to behaviour support.

A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN.

This role is ideal for:

Psychology graduates seeking hands-on experience.

Aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, or therapists wanting practical SEN experience.

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK.

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

SEN experience, particularly with ASD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.
